Forgive and release the past. Accept and release the present. Step beyond what you know. Be daring. Be alive. Embrace uncertainty and leap into the unknown and into the mystery of the unknowable. Be patient. Innovation calls for Courageous patience. – Lazaris quote for June 2013
There is a startling idea which once rightly comprehended, shatters all illusions. This one single idea is so Earth shattering, so extraordinary, so revolutionary, that everything that comes after it represents a remarkably different phase of life to that which came before. This is so because in one sense it involves the disappearance of the universe. Just imagine, if gold from a safe were to disappear, well . . . that would be a mystery, but if the entire universe disappeared that would represent the greatest mystery of all. Of course this is the level of mystery we are talking about here.
It must be of such great interest at this time that the polar opposites of religion and science have now found an accord in this Earth shattering idea. A clue. This indicates that the human story is about to reach, to break through to a very new and interesting place. For the human story will by definition require the creative tension of opposites to continue. And so does the mystery deepen. The new perspective; the new position that we are about to discover; into which our consciousness is about to emerge – will inevitably amaze us all. So what is this most startling idea?
The startling idea is that the universe is not of material origin at all, but a material construction whose origin is consciousness. And there it goes, it vanishes in a puff of smoke. This is the conclusion of both spiritual revelation and quantum theory. The revolutionary realization is that we are . . . simply our-SELF. Nothing more, nothing less. In the deeper sense we are simply pure consciousness, unburdened by all of the cultural and constructed meanings, beliefs, references and ideas. All of the constructions which purport to bring us closer to ourselves such as religion, politics, education and many subtle forms of social and psychic conditioning may bring us to look at aspects of self, however just at the point where we are ready to realize that we are simply ourselves, all these things just get in the way. Knowing this you may have concluded that you are close to experiencing directly that you are . . . simply yourself. Then experience away! FREE from the burden of the cosmic or psychic bureaucracy.
The sobering fact, is that there is always the final journey. We must ever and always walk the last mile home on our own. That is not to suggest that God-Goddess or the angels or the saints are not with us. It is rather to suggest that to enter the deeper truth of who we are – simply ourselves – we must ultimately abandon the hierarchical, bureaucratic and institutional frameworks which purport to represent the truth and become that truth. This is why the master Jesus was able to truthfully declare I am the way and the truth and the light. He had somehow managed to experience himself as simply (him) self. It is the point at which the bud of individuality upon the human tree of consciousness bursts forth as the flower.
There is a paradox here because in order to get to that place generally we require some schooling, processes, the guidance that religions provide, lots of techniques . . . and so forth. But one day finally and at last we, each of us, must find our metaphorical Bodhi tree under which we shall sit, if not in open defiance of all institutionalized forms of learning, certainly in distinction to them and quite often in contradiction to them. The great paradox of liberated blasphemy. It is the intensely personal and revelatory journey represented so beautifully in the life story of St Francis of Assisi. He goes to Rome – the very symbol of institutional religion, as a bare footed beggar to present his revolutionarty and revelatory understanding to the Pope. If you have ever seen the beautiful film by Franco Zeferelli – Brother Sun Sister Moon, you will know well the outcome. Below are a few St Francis quotes that demonstrate his clear, present and radical consciousness. These are combined with statements attributed to some of our other great teachers. They stand in distinction to much of the old consciousness and constructions of the Kali Yuga, the Iron Age of ignorance. These words of wisdom point to new levels of consciousness and understanding which more people than ever are now demonstrating. The whole point is to get to that place where you can finally and at last speak this wisdom fresh with each breath of life within the living breathing cosmos. Here then is a sample from St Francis and others, remembering that one day you will make up your own in each moment of life.
Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible. – St Francis
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him. – Buddha
I am formless and everywhere - Shirdi Sai Baba
With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible – Jesus
You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection - Buddha
Get on with your worldly activities cheerfully, but do not forget God - Shirdi Sai Baba
Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words. St Francis
All that you see taken together is Myself - Shirdi Sai Baba
The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart - Buddha
Lord, grant that I might not so much seek to be loved as to love. St Francis
If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men – St Francis
God has agents everywhere and their powers are vast – Shirdi Sai Baba
You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free - Jesus
God is not so far away. He is not in the heavens above, nor in hell below. He is always near you - Shirdi Sai Baba
You have no cause for anything but gratitude and joy – Buddha
Hatred does not cease by hatred but only by love. This is the eternal rule – Buddha
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world – Buddha
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth
Life often plays little tricks on us where we will sometimes find ourselves thrown off center. Whoops a daisy! In truth she wants us to be able to see where our center may require realignment with the great axis of Love, beauty, truth . . .
As each of us strives towards deep spiritual sustainability we come to perceive the indicators and reflections, of the assurance that the essence of life will remain the eternal dependability. Sooner or later we come to deeply understand the great principle of sustainability. There is a paradox in this: that we are always perfect the way we are.
The strange and bizarre fact is that the most powerful tool we have in guiding our journey is consciousness itself. Because the foundation of matter is consciousness and not the other way around, therefore if you want to guide your journey, be clear in your own heart and mind. Then when you make decisions, set goals, have a plan and strive to achieve . . .then there is some chance of success. And we must do all this while practicing being the very soul of patience and remaining open to the sweet possibilities of rEvolutionary change.
Master this game and you may proceed. And it is only and ever a game. Have fun! For this is the truest purpose of life. It’s kinda like learning to ride a bicycle -so just keep those wheels turning or get ready to touch the ground with your feet. And hey . . .that’s OK too.
As above so below. God rides a bicycle to the shops and always gets what she wants . . .and never everforgets what is on the list even though she doesn’t need to have one.
From within the depths of mystery lifts an enchanting magic, a sacred magic. With your touch, it breathes. It comes alive.
Within its grace, without uttering a sound, lost truths and hushed secrets can reveal unfathomable depths and ineffable dimensions of you. Accept who you are. Welcome who you are becoming.

The central criticism of the United States of America has for some time centred on the corrupting and hypocritical relationship between big business and the agencies of government. The powers that be in the U.S. have long trumpeted that the justification for both foreign and domestic policy is that they have been keeping the world safe for democracy. Clearly, such a claim is now seen to be as hollow as organised crime kingpins saying that they are keeping the world safe for business. To be sure there would be truth in the statement . . .but would it be a true statement?
Respected Columbia University Economist Jeffrey Sachs in his book The Price of Civilization is now laying it on the line. He only stops short of using the F word. Fascism. It’s what Americans cannot bear to hear about themselves. The fact that they are currently doing a very good job of imitating being the greatest fascist power on earth. But let’s look at what Sachs does say.
According to Sachs America is caught in a vicious cycle; the cracked record of the corrupt American system.
“Corporate wealth translates into political power through campaign financing, corporate lobbying and the revolving door of jobs between government and industry; and political power translates into further wealth through tax cuts, deregulation and sweetheart contracts between government and industry”
. . .in other words fascism.
Sachs point to four main sectors of US business that exemplify this vicious cycle and which underline the transformation of America into a Fascist society – he uses the phrase takeover by the corporatocracy which of course means exactly the same thing as fascism, just in more acceptable language. These four sectors are: 1) The military industrial complex 2) The Wall Street-Washington complex 3) The big-oil transport-military complex and 4) The (so-called) health-care industry. This last one some people might prefer to call the torturing people for profit in the name of medicine industry. Sounds pretty ugly? Well . . .what are you going to do about it?
What to do about this unholy mess? Well it may sound somewhat overly simplistic, however Dr Quantum would suggest that firstly having the awareness to be clear and honest about the current state of play is the first step forward. Closely followed by forgiveness and then last but certainly not least . . .having a regular schedule of co-creatively envisioning the positive, transformed, healthy future you wish to inhabit. This last part of the technique may well be derided by the intelligentsia - those materialistic, Marxist, intellectual atheists who are a feature of our institutions of higher learning. Many of these folks are enormously well intentioned individuals, in the same way that you will find people of noble sentiment in the Tea Party. But of course as it has been said – the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Quantum-wise the co-creatively envisioned and metaphysically projected positive future will do more to transform the world for the better than an endless stream of suicide bombers, torturing the projected “villains” – the enemy, and Uncle Sam’s drones and missiles and counter intelligence in the form of dis-information. The metaphysical approach may even be better than an endless stream of books – Gosh! However in the interests of sanity we must encourage education… regardless of how flawed the system may currently be.
Well here we all are assembled on this beautiful blue planet. It’s the moment for which we have all been waiting, for the end is upon us. Praise be. We can be assured that the sometimes bizarre and often tragic unfolding of events have deep significance. For example how do we make sense of the tragic slaughter of twenty beautiful young children at the hands of a lone – and lonely – gunman? Somewhere deep inside I do believe that there is a beauty and rhythm and a pattern to life that transcends all earthly limitations. And so what if . . .just what if those children had made an arrangement before coming into this incarnation, to go through this experience in order that the gun laws be changed. I am not saying this is what happened, however it is one possibility that gives this event some kind of positive meaning beyond it being a senseless tragedy. And so what of the end of the Mayan calendar, and how could it relate to the slaughter of the innocents?
The Mayan calendar represents on one very profound level the end of history. That is the end of the present being created by a cause and effect sequence from the past, and the start of a new cycle in which the present is created from the future. That is to say where our reality is no longer dictated to by history and what happened in the past, but where reality is now created by the future and what we envision. The future will be dream directed, it will be mission directed it will become a product . . .not of the past but of itself. And that is how the world will end. Not with a bang, but with a miracle, and through the miraculous. Do not take my word for it. You merely have to observe. And the work of the apocalypse which has been raging all around was to prepare the way for this time of future creation. For the word apocalypse means the lifting of the veil of secrecy and lies in a time of evil and corruption. Do we not see the cataclysmic and seismic unveiling going on every day, in every way and at every turn? Do you read the papers or watch the news for heaven’s sake?
Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall at last unveil. – John Ruskin
. . .sometimes as i hear the seemingly endless tide of automatic pop, junk music and disposable pap, I feel we have lost something. To balance that view perhaps we can also consider that there was also a lot of bad music made back then and we now have the luxury of selective listening. Nevertheless . . .it’s undoubtedly true that they’re not making music like they used to. There are certain complexities here that demand a deeper analysis. A laundry list of considerations follows 1) A lot of the great music that we love from that time (the 60s?) was the result of a hard-core commercial music industry. There is a relentless middle-of-the road factor playing out there. 2) The distribution channels for this music were, by today’s standards, limited and tightly controlled so what we are seeing is a very thin slice of possibility 3) Today’s commercial-industrial music is often pretty dire. House music and variants have spread virally into contemporary music so it’s hard to find pop music that hasn’t been robotized 4) There is good and even great music being made today. The advent of the internet and digital recording have brought musical production and global distribution into the reach of every-person. The results are far less tightly controlled than the music industry of the past 5) The profusion of both professional and semi-professional music available on global distribution platforms like Youtube, iTunes, Grooveshark et al means that a lot of music that was not released commercially previously and therefore carrying limited incentive for musicians to produce . . .is now available 6) New classical forms have emerged from contemporary musical culture. Classical meaning simply “excellent” music. Take for example Jazz. There is a lot of truly excellent jazz music being performed in little (and sometimes in BIG) places round the world. Add to this the influences of “world music”. 7) The bigger picture reveals a world in which consumers need to be more conscious, discriminating and aware of who they are being in relation to musical taste and consumption, and where and how they find, discover, share and celebrate and listen. A great example is the busker or market performer. Just because they are close enough to reach out and touch or to say hello to, doesn’t mean they are not as fabulous as the famous and unreachable. This requires of us that we participate in the adventure of our own lives. If you want to break free of the restrictions the system develop some discrimination and discover what is quite likely in your own backyard. The music game has well and truly changed with more power in the hands of artists and audiences. This seems to be a journey in which we are all being given expanded opportunities and new cultural and personal responsibilities.
Rather than just talk about this as an abstract concept let’s provide an example of what is being said above. There is an excellent musician who goes by the name of Soulman O’Gaia. Soul along with his beautiful muse and wife Kiora, does the troubadour rounds in Northern NSW and South East Queensland of Australia – out of a well traveled van. You wouldn’t hear him on commercial radio – he doesn’t have a commercial recording contract. Dr Quantum has enjoyed listening to Soul at various markets from Byron Bay to Eumundi. He has also appeared at Woodford and a variety of concerts in this area. Here is a musical treasure. I have heard Soul performing in a little open tent with ten or twelve other gobsmacked punters who were happening by. You can purchase Soul’s CDs at his little market stage for $20, or you can hire him for a private party or function or, and here’s the really amazing intersection to all this . . .you can listen to his music from anywhere in the world, or purchase his CDs online on his website. Soulman O’Gaia official web site.
Shocking stories about the abuse of power and the corruption of the powerful via the undue influence of business bucks is nothing new. Examples of this confront us almost daily in the media. There is a global army of world weary citizens who are saturated with cynicism. And we have seen that there are indeed limits to just how much people are willing to put up with. There is a pattern to how this plays out. Take for example the Arab Spring uprisings. The whole thing was triggered by one frustrated person, so appalled by the unfairness and corruption of one particular official that he set himself on fire. A match alight in a tinder box.
The key to understanding this phenomenon is that the conditions were so ripe and ready for change that it could have been any number of different individuals in relation to any number of different corrupt public officials that ignited the spark. We call it the tipping point. It is this emergent chain-reaction that has lead to the rewriting of the political landscape in the Middle East. Of course it is not required for a person to self immolate in order for a tipping point of public dissatisfaction to be reached. In our media infused world we see that these movements are now constant ripples and currents moving through societies and reshaping them. To put it bluntly people are pissed off and hungry for the next public example of the failure of adequate governance. People have had enough and people are hungry to blame their elected representatives who have failed to govern effectively. This brings us to Coal Seam Gas – the monster in the room. And the news just in.
Researchers at Southern Cross University have discovered that large amounts of methane gas, carbon dioxide and other gasses are leaking from Australia’s biggest gas field at Tara QLD (see video below for previous action by farmers at Tara). Ben Cubby writing in the Sydney Morning Herald chose his words more carefully. He said:Vast amounts of methane appear to be leaking undetected. OK . . .appear to be leaking. This is interesting because a white paper released last week predicts a wholesale expansion of Australia’s Coal Seam Gas industry and calls for environmental objections to be removed to facilitate large scale gas extraction. Oh really?!!!
One may conjecture that there are so many snouts in the trough of coal seam gas dollars that there is no room left for any more pigs. The thing to understand is that a trough is a low-point. And pigs will happily eat shit. But Coal Seam Gas dollars are a favourite excrement of the porcine brethren at the moment. Enjoy piggies. You will make lovely rashers of bacon and legs of ham for those connoisseurs of the swine flesh – the dissatisfied and appalled public incensed and incendiary by apocalyptic media storms of the truth revealed. Methane gas is considered to be the most damaging of green-house gasses. Far more damaging than carbon dioxide as a contributor to global warming. And so now if we can’t rely on the left-wingers of politics to look out for the common future of humanity and the broad interests of the people then we must expect that nature will indeed take it’s course. Ham and bacon rolls coming right up folks.
The pollies must understand that the business swine is the great tempter of the political pig. Consider these pearls of wisdom from Rick Wilkinson – chief operating officer of APPEA the industry body.
“Incomplete research from Southern Cross University academics this week lacks the basics of scientific rigour. What is presented as research is in reality a funding submission.”
Thank you Rick. Pop yourself into the pan like a good piglet. I’ll have mine with eggs and toast.
Coal seam gas extraction scars the landscape near Chinchilla QLD Australia
Coal seam gas is a blueprint for the destruction of sweet water
Energy Minister of NSW (New South Wales, Australia) Chris Hartcher has accused the Environmental Defenders Office of helping activist groups hurt the coal and coal seam gas industries as part of a “left agenda to destroy the economy” Sydney Morning Herald, Nov 10 2012
The insane gross materialism of the mining industry is of course nothing new and certainly not limited to the right wing of politics. Of course! Chris Hartcher supports the Coal Seem Gas and coal industry. As did the supposedly left-wing former premier of Queensland Anna Bligh and her cohort. These individuals are certainly power junkies addicted, not only to power but compromise as well. In supporting the Coal and Coal Seam Gas industry they invite grave karma on the heads of the people whom they are supposed to be serving. Same same. Not enough people the world over – people in general and in politics specifically – wants to stand up and accept responsibility for carbon emissions and environmental destruction. And so it came to pass that . . . inevitably, a giant super-storm hurricane called Sandy slammed into New York and New Jersey not to mention Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba. The planet speaks to us not with the useless words of politicians but with the powerful force of nature. Guess whose point of view will prevail?
The reductionist scientific paradigm demands everything has to be measured. And so it is that the experts have their tape measures out measuring Hurricane Sandy. Was it or wasn’t it? Of course there is an important place for the type of reductionist materialism that this behaviour represents. Well . . .in our world there is a good place for it on account of the fact that in this era our consciousness is so dense and covered over that we seem thoroughly incapable of the kind of Earth wisdom that the native tribal peoples of say the Americas still have access to. And of course they are not the only ones.
There would be no trouble in certain circles to understand that super-storm Hurricane Sandy was caused by a lack of integrity and alignment with the soul of our living planet – Sanat Kumara in communion with the planetary Logos (AKA Goddess Gaia). Of course this sounds like gobbeldy gook to most Western ears. On the other hand any reasonable amount of research would suggest it may well be true. Most of the political types wouldn’t really understand that the planet is alive. . .so how can they understand the most basic facts of the matter? The disturbances that are being wrought by coal seam gas extraction and the resulting karma – the poisoning of aquifers and agricultural land for starters – will visit terrible diseases and calamities upon the people. The cautionary principle would seem to be the only hope for the power junkie block-heads who can see nothing subtle. But the fools have mostly abandoned this a long time ago in favour of their flavour of fascism. It’s all about the dollar and it would seem, scarce little else. This is the world we now live in.
These things must be talked about, not because the fools are about to change. Certainly telling them how foolish they are seems to have little or no effect. And it does ones own soul no good to point the finger of blame. The telling is simply a service in the Apocalypse – the lifting of the veil of secrecy and lies in a time of evil and corruption. This is the tsunami that has engulfed us. This is the total eclipse of our times. These are the end times prophesied in the bible and this is indeed the start of the New Age, the Golden Age. Prayer, meditation, being conscious, having a good heart and practicing the blessed unrest are among the most powerful resonators we have at our disposal. The new resonance is what will transform the logjam of the political power-junkies and business bad-asses. Their world will be swept away like matchsticks in a flood. What One person can do will be of little consequence and all of the consequence. Paradoxically enough. Coal Seam Gas extraction will soon be seen – in the not-too distant future – as one of the greatest environmental crimes ever perpetrated. This is a lime flavoured prediction. Those responsible for it will be held to account – both the politicians who allowed it and the business people who pushed it, who perpetrated it.
The real, deep issues of significance around coal and coal seam gas are of course blind to the political oligarchs who are today practicing a form of crypto-fascism. What does that mean? It means that the hidden agendas that drive these politicians – be it of the left or of the right – are really forms of fascism (merger of corporate and state power) hidden behind other more benign sounding and seeming narratives. These compromised power-junkies are leading their peoples off the cliffs of ignorance. It’s a long way down. Coal seam gas is a blueprint for the destruction of sweet water among other things- see video embedded for your information, below. Please comment on this post
